Uniform
School Uniform.
We consulted on changing our School Uniform Policy between January 2023 and March 2023. The draft policy was reviewed in April as part of the consultation process. The Board of Trustees reviewed this in July 2023 and approved the new policy which the school has been following from September 2023. Please read the letter from the Headteacher explaining the rational for this alongside the proposed policy. The consultation report is also available here.
In July 2024 the Trustees have agreed that the policy will continue for the 2024-25 academic year.
Having a school uniform is important because:
Children feel a greater sense of belonging to our school community
Children develop pride in being part of the school community
The children’s presentation reflects the high standards which we set in school and improves the image of the school in the local community
Children set themselves high personal standards
Differences between the children are reduced which can lead to higher self esteem
Our School Uniform consists of:
Grey or black trousers, shorts, pinafore or skirt (suitable length)
Yellow polo shirt
Burgundy jumper or cardigan
Plain black shoes which are appropriate for playing out in
Grey tights or white, grey or black socks
Optional red and white checked summer dress.
PE Kit
A draw string bag
Black shorts or black leggings
A t-shirt matching their House team colour
Pumps or trainers
During winter months, children may bring plain dark coloured jogging bottoms and sweatshirt or a track suit. (Currently Key Stage 2 children come to school wearing this on their PE days).
Label it
Please ensure every item is securely labelled with your child’s name.
If you order your labels from Stikins, quoting school fundraising number 14864, our PTFA gains 30% commission for our school at no extra cost to you.
